Hey Young World,

This is the April 2025 edition of 1520’s Record Report (yes, we skipped March, sorry, we were very busy), our series of monthly articles in which we recommend things we’re currently into.

We’ve picked the name Record Report in honor of Hip Hop magazine The Source, which’s album review section went under that name and, when we were growing up, told us what was worth copping and what wasn’t. In our own small way, we hope to do the same.

Momma - Welcome To My Blue Sky (Album)

We recently spent a beautiful spring day in the city (the beautiful Arnhem), and while driving around we listened to the new Momma album on a loop. Dreamy vocals and catchy melodies mixed with gnarly, distorted guitars. It was a perfect soundtrack. Made the day even brighter.

Licorice Pizza (Movie)

Licorice Pizza is a sun-soaked, nostalgic, heartfelt coming-of-age story set in the 1970s, starring Alana Haim. The movie has an effortlessly cool vibe, celebrating messy, unpredictable moments with warmth, charm, and a perfect soundtrack.

One Love,

Marius | 1520
